So as I said, people using these things are building out the kill boxes that will at some point be used to end them. So if you want to withdraw your support from any more of this, it IS possible to have a telephone number and instant messaging without a SIM card, and thus NOT use and thus help funding the building of these cell towers, for only around $5/month. People calling or messaging are not able to tell the difference on the other end.

Therefore, instead of using the cell towers, you would be using Wi-Fi hotspots or any other type of internet connection. Lots of places around town offer hotspots to patrons and the public to attract more customers. Cafes, restaurants, laundromats, bars, hotels, libraries, community centers, et al.
